Event Description
Event location: Various locations in Barcelona - free admission. 48H Open House BCN 2012. Opening eyes, minds and doors to good design in Barcelona. 3rd edition of 48 Hours Open House Barcelona which allows the public to see inside 150 buildings of all kinds, shape and sizes in Barcelona, many of which are not normally open to the general public. The Open House event started in London in 1992 and has since taken place in many other cities including New York, Dublin, Galway, Tel Aviv and now Barcelona. Admission is free. It is not possible to reserve. You show up at the building you want to visit and sign up. Most buildings are only open for a few hours and not all are open on both days. Around 35,000 people took part in last year's edition and there are limited places, so be sure to check visiting times on the website and to arrive earlier than the opening times to be sure of a place on the visitors list.
