Mercat de Mercats food festival Barcelona. Outdoor food festival in the centre of Barcelona from the square in front of Barcelona Cathedral and down to the Santa Caterina market. The "Market of Markets" festival is a three day gastronomic festival for Barcelona to present the best of Catalan and Mediteranean food and cooking. Around 30 market stalls, 51 local producers, 12 market and city bars and restaurants, 16 cellars take part. Get cooking tips from 30 top Catalan chefs and enjoy a wine and cava area, which offers wine tasting sessions, workshops and talks on the Cataluynya wines, cavas, oils and cheeses. Many other activities and fun for all the family.

Avinguda de la Catedral is the square located in front of Barcelona cathedral in the gothic quarter of Barcelona. It is part of series of square that also comprises Plà de la Seu and extends into Plaça Nova. Avinguda de la Catedral is often used for markets including an antiques market, the Santa Lucia Christmas market and for other events in connections with annual festivals in Barcelona like the Santa Eulalia festival and La Merce Festival. There is usually sardanes dancing every Sunday around noon in front on the cathedral
