UEFA European Championship. The UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament is scheduled to take place from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The group stage runs until 26 June, with the knockout stage beginning on 29 June. As the host nation, Germany are seeded in Group A and will occupy position A1; they will therefore play in the opening match – against Scotland – at the Munich Football Arena on Friday 14 June. Germany/West Germany have featured at every EURO since 1972. West Germany won the 1972 and 1980 editions, while the reunited Germany triumphed at EURO '96.

Spanish team
The Spanish team compete in Euro2024. The Spanish national team are nicknamed "La Roja" (the red) or "La Furia Roja" (the red fury) and often they are called "La Selección". Spain have participated in eleven European Championships (with an upcoming twelfth appearance in 2024), from which they won three titles. Spain became European champions as hosts in 1964, in 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, and in 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
