Latest news: Cristiano Ronaldo will not play in Spanish Copa del Rey final against Barcelona due to knee and thigh injuries. Barça trainer Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino says “There is a chance that Puyol, Piqué or Bartra could play, but we'll have to wait until Wednesday."  Barça wear a custom shirt which says  “Spanish Cup Final 2014. Valencia 16 April” in the centre and RFEF association logo for the final appears on the left sleeve.

Date of Spanish Cup Final. The Copa del Rey between Real Madrid - FC Barcelona Spanish Cup 2014 final date and stadium is on Wednesday 16th April 2014 during Easter week wiith a 21:30 kick off. The final is in  Valencia at the Mestalla stadium. The supporters of each club will be assigned 40% of tickets available which is 19.350 for each team. The cheapest ticket price will be 45 euros and the most expensive 240 euros. The final is usually in May but both teams agreed to move it forward to Easter to maximise their chances in the Champions League.

The Copa del Rey Spanish Cup Final 2014 is the 110th cup final. Last time old rivals Real Madrid v FC Barcelona played each other in a "Clasico" Spanish Cup final was in 2011 at the same stadium when a goal by Ronaldo gave the title to Real Madrid. Clasico is the name used about clashes between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.

Real Madrid were in the final last year, but lost the title by 2-1 to Atl Madrid. FC Barcelona holds the record for most wins celebrating their 26th Copa del Rey title in 2012 after defeating Athletic Club Bilbao 3-0. Barca were knocked out in the semi-final last season by Real Madrid.

The winners of the Copa del Rey play in the next Supercopa final, which is the annual game between Spanish league winners and cup winners at the beginning of the next season. If one of the teams do the double and win liga and cup then the winners of the Spanish Cup play the runners up of the league.

The full name of Copa del Rey tournament is "El Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey de Fútbol"  but it is generally called the King's Cup "Copa del Rey" or "Copa de S.M. el Rey." FC Barcelona are the Spanish team that has won the Copa del Rey most times with 26 Copa del Rey titles.
