FC Barcelona are in the semi-finals against Chelsea, who defeated Benfica in the quarter finals. For the Blaugrana this is their fifth consecutive semi-final appearance in the Champions League, which they went on to win in 2009 and 2011. If Barca defeat Chelsea in the 2011/12 semi-finals, there is a potential chance of a fantastic "clasico" final between old rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in the final of the Champions League final on 19th May 2012 at the Allianz stadium in Munich.This will happen if Real Madrid defeat Bayern in the other semi-final. The last encounter between Barca and Chelsea was also a Champions semi-final. It was back in 2009 when Iniesta scored a fantastic last minute goal to bring the score to 1-1 which sent Barca to the 2009 final. So the Chelsea team and fans will be looking for revenge this time round.
