Now in its 7th year Anti-Karaoke® has become quite a legend in Barcelona nightlife in Barcelona on Monday nights. Anti-Karaoke is a fusion between a rock concert, a Broadway musical, and a crazy house party. It is still karaoke, but Anti-karaoke is mostly rock numbers and with a animated live audience of around 300 people cheering the singers on to give the songs a real rock concert feel. Anti-Karaoke was created by North American comic and now anti-karaoke diva / icon Rachel Arieff, who takes the stage to host this rock madness of music mania event every Thursday. Rachel both hosts and knocks out a few hits herself. Check the song list to start practising. Visit the website for information and tickets. Sala Apolo has two different spaces - the main theatre area and La [2]. The crowds are a healthy mix of local and tourists who come for the full calendar of live concerts, parties and clubbing. Check the Sala Apolo website for opening times, DJ information, events, invites and more. Anti-Karaoke Barcelona is a very popular Monday night event at Apolo La [2] from 22.00 to 01.00. Doors open at 21.30 and admission is 7 euro (2012 prices) which includes a free drink and free admission later to the hugely popular pop-n-rock Nasty Mondays session. Other popular club nights at Apolo La [2] include indie and electro music on Crappy Tuesdays, burlesque night Taboo and popular Friday and Saturday Nitsa Club.
