Sitges Carnaval 2016 dates are Thursday 4th February 2016 to Wednesday 10th February 2016. Open PDF Sitges Carnival programme. This fabulous winter festival of parties and parades eclipses the Barcelona carnaval and is definately worth a visit for party lovers. There are several parades for all ages during carnaval week in Sitges. Among the biggest Sitges carnival parades are the evening parades called "Rua de la Disbauxa" - Debauchery Paradeat 8pm on Sunday 7th February and the "Rua de l’Extermini" - Extermination parade at 8pm on Tuesday 9th February 2016 Both feature around 50 floats and 2-3000 dancing participants Both processions usually start from Pl Cap de Vila in Sitges and continue along the waterfront. Also good fun is the "Llits Disfressats de Sitges" 1km "fancy dress bed" race on Saturday 6th Febuary 2016 at 12.00

How to get to Sitges from Barcelona
Sitges is a popular and exclusive sea-side resort located about 45 kilometers south of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. Sitges is well known for the Sitges Film Festival in October and the Sitges Carnival in February. Sitges also offers visitors a very nice selection of beaches, nightspots, and historical sites.

Getting to Sitges from Barcelona
The C-32 tollroad (before A-16) connects Sitges with Barcelona in 30 minutes. You can also take the free coastal road, which is very scenic but has many bends, so passengers can become car sick!
Bus companyMon-bus operates buses from Barcelona and from Barcelona airport to Sitges
Sitges is under between 35 and 45 minutes from Barcelona by R2 south line train. The railway company is called Renfe. The trains connections are called Cercanias/Rodalies: The trains to Sitges are on the R2 south line which departs from stations in the center of Barcelona to outlying suberbs of Barcelona and towns nearby. Regional trains to Sitges leave every 15 minutes from various stations in Barcelona including Passeig de Gracia (currently undergoing renovation), Catalunya or Sants: Price for a return ticket around 10 euros.
