Hotel W - 5 star - La Vela
Hotel W Barcelona. Address is Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents, 1, 08039 Barcelona, Spain.  This address does not show accurately on Google maps, so click Hotel W GPS location. A massive glass sail now graces the shores of Barcelona by Barceloneta. The official name is "Hotel W", but it is also well known by its local nickname "La Vela " which means "the sail." It was designed by Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill and has become Barcelona's newest landmark luxury hotel with 26 floors and 476 rooms all with superb views of the sea and the coastline from the impressive location called the "Nova Bocana" on the beachfront along the Barceloneta boardwalk. Guests can enjoy the stylish pool area with lovely stretching view of the sunsets and sunrises over the beaches and the city. Then cocktails at Eclipse Lounge on the 26th floor followed by dinner at restaurant Wave or at restaurant Bravo 24 by Michelin-Star winner and acclaimed Catalan chef, Carles Abellan.
