Catalunya Federation of Sardanas

Federació Sardanista de Catalunya. The sardana is Catalonia's traditional folk dance which is danced in a circle with dancers holding hands. The music is usually performed by an cobla band consisting of wind instruments.

You can see public sardanas dancing called "sardanes populars" on Sundays in front of the Barcelona cathedral from 12:00 to 14:00 or visit the website Catalunya Sardanas Federation website to see other sardaneas displays. www.fed.sardanista.cat
