The biggest balloon festival in Spain and one of the biggest in Europe takes place every summer in the Catalonian town of Igualada, which is 1 hours drive from Barcelona and easily accessible by train.
More than 40 hot air balloons from around the world take to the sky during the festival. Croweds of up to 25,000 spectators come to watch this colourful and amazing sight of a sky full of hot air ballons.
