The official website of Futbol Club Barcelona (Barça) founded in 1899 by Swiss citizen Joan Gamper and a band of football enthusiats from  Switzerland, England and Barcelona. The club has become a symbol of Barcelona and Catalonia and is one of the 10 most famous and prestigious football clubs in the world.

They were founding members of the Spanish league, La Liga in 1928, and have a long list of remarkable sporting achievements among others having never been relegated from the Primera División, one of only three clubs to have achieved this, the others beingReal Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. The club were also the very first La Liga champions and have one counless Spanish and European titles.
