The Bernat Picornell swimming pools on the mountain of Montjuïc is the flagship of Barcelona’s pools. This gym and swimming centre was opened in 1970 for the European swimming championships and was remodelled and modernised for the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992.
There are three pools. An heated indoor pool, a competition pool and a diving pool. The outdoor pools have spectator stands and are still used for international competitions. The pool sizes are as follows: 1 outdoor pool of 50 x 25 m, 1 outdoor pool of 20x20 m, 1 indoor pool of 50 x 25 m
The pool has many other facilities like a fitness centre, jacuzzis, saunas, good disabled access and special times for nudists swimming.
In the summer as part of the Grec festival a popular event are the evenings when outdoor screen movies at the outdoor pools. For opening times and day ticket prices (entradas puntuales) see their website

Metro: Lines 1 & 3 to Plaza Espanya, then a 7 minute walk by foot up Avenida María Cristina and then use the outdoor escalators up to Avenida Miramar. ,

There are three different swimming pools on Montjuic, Barcelona, two of which are open to the general public.
