Club Natació Barcelona is a huge sports and swimming club at the end of Barceloneta on the beach of Sant Sebastià. It was founded on 10th November 1907 by the swimmer Bernat Picornell, who is attributed with founding contemporary competition swimming in Catalonia.
The Club Natacio Barcelona has an outdoor pool of 25 x 50 m and an indoor pool of 25 x 14 metres.
The Olympic swimming complex on Montjuic mountain built for the Olympic games in Barcelona in 1992 was named after the founder,
Piscines Bernat Picornell.
