Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor - The Church of the Sacred Heart, Barcelona. You might have noticed the illuminated building on a hill overlooking Barcelona.

That is the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, the Church of the Sacred Heart. It is not a major architechural triumph, but fun to visit for the views and to see the quirky statue of Jesus on top that sits at the very top at 500 metres above sea level.

The church overlooks the
Tibidabo Amusement Park To get there take the
Ferrocarrils L7 from Plaza Catalunya, Provenza or Gracia to the
station Av Tibidado Then take the
old Tramvia blau up to the
Funicular of Tibidabo train, which will take the final part of the journey up to the church and amusement park.
You can also take the
T2 Tibibus shuttle bus service which runs all day in a circular route from Plaza Catalunya with various stops along the way including Park Guell. The T2 Tibibus only operates during the summer months when the Tibidabo park is open.
