Modernist letterbox from 1902 by
Catalan architect Doménech i Montaner outside the "Casa de l'Ardiaca" - The Archdeacon's House - near Barcelona Cathedral. The letter box was added in 1902 when the building was used by the "Colegio de Abogados" - College of laywers, who asked Domenech i Montaner to redecorate. The turtle is said to symbolise the "speed" of the postal service back then.
Plaza Neri is one of the smallest and nicest squares in the Barrio Gotico. You can find the tiny
Barcelona shoe museum on this plaza and the cafe of the Hotel Neri
