This is the the most spectacular ride with stunning views of all of Barcelona in a cable car ride that takes you across the port of Barcelona back and forth from Montjuic to San Sebastian beach, just further along from Barceloneta beach. Since opening on 11th November 1931, this has been a fast and fun way to get from beach to mountain. In the tower on the beach there is an exclusive restaurant at the top called Torre de alta Mar.
This cable car connects with the funicular mountain train (see below) to give visitors to Montjuic mountain a fast and fun way to get to the top where they can enjoy views from the old military fort (Castell de Montjuic) where many cultural activities take place every year.
Another way to see the attractions of Montjuic is to take the special Montjuic tour bus.
