Sonar is one of Europe’s premier electronic music and audiovisual art festival and takes place in Barcelona every June. The Sonar Festival Barcelona has in recent years become one of the world’s most respected electronic music festivals, attracting thousands of DJs, record labels, artists and music fans to Barcelona every year. Focusing on cutting-edge electronic culture covering both music, art and film, Sonar provides a great mixture of breakthrough digital artforms and uptempo and intense club nights. This year's Sonar Advanced Music and MultiMedia festival also has an parallel edition in Spanish city La Coruña. Bands that have already confirmed their presence at Sonar 2010 include Roxy Music (Sat 19/6) The Chemical Brothers, Dizzee Rascal, LCD Soundsystem and Air.
The Sonar festival joins forces with Grec festival on Thursday 17th June for a light audiovisual show that will light up the Barcelona night sky by Japanese composer and visual artist Ryoji Ikeda
Sonar Kids. The second edition of Sonar Kids also takes place this year but has become a separate event  on 12 and 13th June which is a week before the Sonar Festival.
