Casa Amatller
Casa Amatller. Superb modernist building by Josep Puig i Cadafalch on the fashionable Passeig de Gracia next door to Casa Batllo by Gaudi on Passeig de Gracia and open to the public. The facade was restored in 2009. Guided tours at the moment include visits to the entrance hall, Antoni Amatller's photographic studio and tasting of Amatller chocolate in the house's original kitchen. Casa Amatller is one of the three famous modernist buildings in Barcelona's famous "Illa de la Discòrdia" ("Block of Discord") The other modernist buildings in this city block are Casa Batlló by Gaudi and Casa Lleó-Morera by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, which is not open to the public.
