El Parc de Collserola
Collserola Park Barcelona. Also called "Parc Natural de la Serra Collserola." Collserola Natural Park is 8000 hectares of lovely woods and nature. The park is behind the hill of Tibidabo which is the back hill of Barcelona which can be seen from the centre. There is a little church at the top called Sagrat Cor. Collserola park is just 20 minutes from Plaza Catalunya in the centre of Barcelona. 50% of the population of Catalonia lives less than ten kilometres away from the Collserola park making it the largest metropolitan park in the world. It is 8 times larger than the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, and 22 times larger than Central Park in New York.

Collserola is an island of green in the middle of one of the most densely populated urban areas on the Mediterranean coastline. Collserola park offers walking trails, biking trails, farm house restaurants and lots of things to do apart from enjoying the fresh country air! Collserola Park also offer Astronomy Nights twice a month all year (except August) with lots of exciting information and hands-on telescope experience. In 2010 Collserola became an official natural park of Spain and changed name to "Parc Natural de la Serra Collserola."
