Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya de Moto GP 2010. The thrilling Motorcycling World Championship comes to Barcelona for the 2010 Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya when Montmeló racetrack hosts round seven of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship in July 2010 as the Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya - the Catalonia Moto GP. This is one of the most popular races of the Moto GP not least due to the home city of Barcelona. The race itself takes place at the Circuit de Catalunya race track near Barcelona. Over 100.000 race fans and visitors come to see the action of one of the fastest sports in the world, the MotoGP, with bikes reaching speeds of over 300 kph.So don't miss the chance to experience the world’s top motorcycling Championship live in the 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP classes in Barcelona.The Circuit has seventeen grandstands, three of which are covered. Around the track are 20 giant screens so you won't miss a single detail.

World championship leader Jorge Lorenzo started the 2010 Catalunya MotoGP in Barcelona from pole position after clocking the fastest qualifying time and extended his advantage at the top of the standings further with his fifth win of the campaign at the Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya 2010. Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner finished second and third for the second race in succession.

How to get to Montmelo race track near Barcelona?
he Circuit de Catalunya is the Barcelana venue for international motor racing competitions. The biggest events are the annual F1 Formula One Spanish Grand Prix in May and MotoGP in June  The sporting calendar of the Circuit de Catalunya also includes several competitions of the Catalan and Spanish Motorcycling or Car Championships, both 24 Hours Endurance races, and the Catalan Motorcycling Grand Prix. The Circuit de Catalunya can also be contacted for activities in connection with incentive events, presentations and conventions. Activities include quads racing, go-karts, 4X4 circuit and helicopter flights and more. Montmelo is in the Valles Oriental comarca (county of Barcelona. How to get to Montmelo racetrack by car?
It takes 30 minutes to drive from center of Barcelona to Montmelo racetrack but on race days it can take up to 2 hours, so leave early.  Parking tickets can be purchased online on Servicaixa or at the the racetrack.

How to get to Montmelo racetrack by bus?
Shuttle bus service by Sagalés Bus Company leaves from Passeig de Sant Joan 52, Barcelona  The nearest metro stations to the bus departure point are metro station Girona yellow line L4 and metro station Tetuan purpleline L2.  Tickets for F1 shuttle bus service can be purchased online at ServiCaixa, online on the Sagales bus website, or Sagales bus ticket office of the Passeig de Sant Joan, 52. The price of return trip in 2010 is € 8 and the bus journey takes about 45 minutes, but leave in good time becuase the bus times can be be affected by the heavy traffic going to the F1 event.

How to get to Montmelo racetrack by train
Montmelo has a railway station on R2 (line 2) of Spanish railways Renfe Cercanías / Rodalies - trains from Barcelona to Maçanet Massanes.. You can get on the R2 train at Barcelona stations Plaza Catalunya, Arc de Triomf or Clot.  Trains leave every 30 minutes. It is a 20 minute walk from Montmelo station to the Montmelo race track. Campsites near the Montmelo race track.
There is usually a temporary campsite in the raectrack North Area available during the Spanish Grand Prix week. For information about other permanent campsites near the Montmelo race track,  contact the Camping Association of the province of Barcelona called "Associacio de Campings i CV de la provïncia de Barcelona."
