For good traditional Catalan food in Barcelona go to the Raval district and restaurant Casa Leopoldo. It's an old favourite among locals and dates back to the 1030'ies. The owners are the Gil family, who conjure up a variety of traditional Catalan dishes and stews. A popular choice is the
revuelto de ajos tiernos y gambas which is scrambled eggs with garlic and shrimp) and the well-loved
cap-i-pota which is stewed head and hoof of pork.
