Bar Celta La Pulperia can be found in Calle Merce 16, just a few metres behind the Merce church in the Barri Gotic gothic quarter. If you are looking for typical Spanish tapas, then this will be one of your favourite tapas restaurants in Barcelona. Bar Celta La Pulperia has a range of tapas but the best one, that´s where the name comes from, is definitely the "Pulpo a la Gallega" or Galician style octopus. You can order three different sizes of plates with prices from €9 to €15. The pulpo is prepared with spices and oil and is cut into pieces. If you order one of their wines you´ll be surprised that you drink the wine from little china cups. The bar gets crowded on weekends, especially if you go after 9 pm. They have a long bar to sit at and an extra room with tables. The place is not huge, so if you don´t want to stand while you´re eating, you might want to get there just before 21.00.
