Generally Barcelona is quiet on 1st January with almost all shops closed. The Barcelona hop-on-hop-off tour buses will operate as usual. Most Barcelona attractions and museums will be open, but some might have limited opening times, so we recommend you check first. La Sagrada Familia church is usually open on 1st January with normal times. La Pedrera is usually open on 1st January but might be only from 11am to 6.30pm. Park Guell is usually open on 1st January with normal times. Casa Batlló is usually open with normal visiting hours on 1st January. Palau Güell is usually closed on 1st January. The Picasso museum is usually closed on 1st January. The FC Barcelona museum at Camp Nou is usually closed on 1st January.
