Born on March 30, 1979, in New York City, Jones grew up in Texas, where she began taking piano lessons at a young age. She attended the University of North Texas and later moved to New York City to pursue a career in music. Jones' music is often classified as jazz, but it also incorporates elements of country, folk, and pop. She gained widespread popularity with her debut album, "Come Away with Me," which was released in 2002 and went on to win multiple Grammy Awards. The album features hit songs like "Don't Know Why" and "Come Away with Me." Jones has released several other successful albums over the years, including "Feels Like Home," "Not Too Late," and "The Fall." Her music has earned her numerous accolades, including nine Grammy Awards, and she has sold over 50 million records worldwide. In addition to her music career, Jones has also acted in films and television shows, including "Ted 2" and "Portlandia."
