They are big papier-maché figures carried by geganters' - which means 'giant-carrier.' The giants are hollow papier-maché figures built on a wooden frame which is usually three or four metres meters high. The upper part of the figure is dressed and painted and the lower part where the geganter is positioned is covered by a skirt. A giants parade is typically accompanied by Catalan folk music bands. It's very festive and worth seeing. Thank you to all the members of the gegants groups.
