Grammy winning blues, folk and soul star Ben Harper performs at the 2012 Cap Roig Festival, The Cap Roig Festival is a series of outdoor summer concerts sponsored by La Caixa bank, which take place at the castle and botanical gardens of "Jardines de Cap Roig" in a beautiful location on the Costa brava coast with sea views down over the town of Palafrugell.

The festival venue is only accessible by car and is about 1 hour by car from Girona and 2 hours from Barcelona. The Cap Roig festival was created as a summer festival to showcases different music styles on the Costa Brava and has always attracted top stars.

Jardins de Cap Roig Costa Brava. The Jardins de Cap Roig botanical gardens are located by the sea in Calella de Palafrugell close to the town of Palafrugell. Every year they host an annual music festival called Festival de Cap Roig. The gardens are only accessible by road. It takes about 1 hour by car from Girona and 2,5 hours from Barcelona.

By car 
The best way to the Cap Roig Festival by car  directions to Cap Roig Gardens
By bus
You can take a bus to Calella de Palafrugell from Barcelona and then by taxi to the concert venue, but it takes a long time and getting back will be more difficult at night so an overnight stay in recommended.
By train
There is no train to Calella de Palafrugell.
