MMB Museum. Drassanes Reials. Barcelona's Maritime Museum is located near the harbour and near the port end of the pedestrian street Las Ramblas 

The Maritime museum is in the 14th century shipyards called 'Drassanes Reials de Barcelona' which means the 'Royal Shipyards.'

The Royal shipyards were constructed in 1378 by agreement between King Peter IV also called Peter IV, called the Ceremonious of the Crown of Aragon, the Consell de Cent of Barcelona (Council of One Hundred) and the Diputació del General (Barcelona city council.)

In 1993 the Consorci de les Drassanes Reials i Museu Marítim de Barcelona (Barcelona Shipyard and Maritime Museum Consortium) was formed to maintain the old shipyard buildings and to develop the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.

The Maritime museum also has a schooner called 'Santa Eulalia' which is open to the public (when in port) at the Moll de la Fusta (wood wharf) at Barcelona's Port Vell harbour just near Rambla del Mar walkway to MareMagnum shopping mall.

Monday to Sunday: 10:00 - 20.00
FREE admission: Sundays after 3pm
