Churros Barcelona

Where are the best churros in Barcelona? Did you know that churros were invented centuries ago by Spanish shepherds? What is a churro? A churro is a fried-dough pastry snack and typical of Spain. In Spain churros can either be thin (and sometimes knotted) or long and thick.

Churros are usually eaten for breakfast and can be dipped in a cup of hot chocolate ( order churros con chocolate caliente) Many also dip them in coffee with milk (order churros con café con leche.)

How are churros made? Churros are fried until they become crunchy, and can also be sprinkled with sugar or covered completely in chocolate.

Visit a Churrería stall on the street to try delicious crispy and crunchy churros. You can eat churros con chocolate, or porras (a curly donut version of churros) with coffee for breakfast - or as a snack any time of the day.

Churros are sold mostly by street vendors in a street stall called a Churrería .They fry them freshly on the street stand and sell them hot. Thought harder to find these days you can still find cafes in Barcelona which serve churros for breakfast and all day long. You can also often find churros on sale in connection with street markets and some festivals
