How to get to Plaça de CatalunyaOpen map Plaza Catalunya in FULL SCREEN Plaza Catalunya is Barcelona's central square and the center of downtown Barcelona. This is the most central place to stay in Barcelona and close to transport connections and many Barcelona sights and attractions. Plaza Catalunya was designed by architect Francesc de Paula Nebot. The square was inaugurated on November 2nd 1927 by Spanish King Alphonso XIII.
