This year, from 4 to 8 December, 11 and 12 December 2021, 18 to 29 (except on the 25th) December 2021 and 2 to 5 January 2022, Poble Espanyol will become a giant advent calendar to welcome the most magical Christmas in Barcelona! The Christmas spirit will flood the Poble's streets with joy. Children and adults alike can go on a magical and charming walk with 24 themed spaces related to characters, traditions and typical Christmas scenes. 24 surprises, 24 illusions scattered all over the enclosure, just like the 24 windows of an advent calendar. Come discover them! And, of course, children will be able to personally hand in their Christmas letters at Santa's Grotto (until 23 December) or in that of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men (from 26 December). Surprise number 25!

El Poble Espanyol. Poble Espanyol in the Catalan language means Spanish village. Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village) is located on Montjuic hill near Plaza España. The Spanish village in Barcelona is both an open air museum in Barcelona and an event venue and attraction. Poble Espanyol has 40 handicraft shops, several excellent restaurants, a popular open air summer club La Terrrazza and one of Barcelona best flamenco shows called El Tablao de Carmen

Poble Espanyol village is the venue for many outdoor festivals, concerts and activities . Poble Espanyol village was constructed in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exhibition as a one of the Spanish pavilion. The idea was to present an authentic Spanish 'village' in the middle of Barcelona but showcasing the styles and characteristics of the many regiional areas and cultures of the Spanish peninsula. The result was 117 different buildings, streets and squares. Poble Espanyol organises many popular events, concerts and festivals including Poble Espanyol Christmas festival and Poble Espanyol New Year Party.
